Die Auswirkung der Globalisierung auf Sprachen. Chancen und Risiken

Abstract

Diese Diplomarbeit unter dem Titel: "Die Auswirkung der Globalisierung auf Sprachen. Chancen und Risiken." befasst sich mit der Auswirkung der Globalisierung auf Sprachen unter sprachlichen, kulturellen und kommunikativen Aspekten. Im theoretischen Teil werden die verwendeten Hauptbegriffe, die die Schlüsselbegriffe der gesamten Arbeit bilden, näher erläutert. Im Zusammenhang mit der Entwicklung der heutigen globalisierten Gesellschaft wird das Phänomen des Sprach- und Kulturwandels im 2. Kapitel hervorgehoben. Dabei wird auf unterschiedliche Konzepte wie Weltgesellschaft, Weltsprache, Mehrsprachigkeit, Weltkultur und interkulturelle Kompetenz geachtet. Im 3. Kapitel wird ausführlicher thematisiert, wie die sprachlichen Normen wegen der digitalen Kommunikation ganz einfach für wertlos gehalten wurden. Stereotype, interkulturelle Kommunikation, interkulturelle Kompetenz und das Phänomen der Emojis spielen in der heutigen Kommunikation eine besondere Rolle, Hier wird anhand Beispiele gezeigt, wohin der Sprachgebrauch in der digitalen Kommunikation geführt hat. Darüber hinaus werden die Kommunikationsmissverständnisse wegen der Fachsprachen näher erläutert. Im letzten Kapitel wird der negative Einfluss des Sprachentodes auf die Kultur besonderere Berücksichtigung gewidmet. Dabei wird gezeigt, wie die Sprachloyalität und der Sprachentod im Zeitalter der Globalisierung die bedeutesten Ausdrucksformen der weltweiten Sprachdynamik darstellen. Anglais Abstract: The focal point of the present doctoral thesis "The impact of globalization on languages. Opportunities and risks." is the influence of globalization on languages under the linguistic, cultural, and communicative perspectives. The terms language, globalization, culture, and communication - which make up the essential terms of the entire work- are discussed in more details in the theoretical section. In chapter 2, the focus is on the phenomenon of language and cultural change in relation to the advanement of today's globalized society. Morover, various concepts as globalization, multilingualism, global culture, and intercultural competency are deliberated more specifically. Chapter 3 discusses how linguistic conventions are now viewed as being useless due to digital communication. In today's communication, stereotypes, cross-cultural interaction, intercultural competence, and the emoji phenomenon all have unique roles to play. Examples are presented to illustrate the potential outcomes of language use in digital communication. Additionally, a more thorough explanation of communication problems brought on by technical languages is provided. The final chapter specifically addresses the drawbacks of language death on culture. It demonstrates that the most significant manifestations of global language dynamics in the age of globalization are language loyalty and language death.
