Opresión política y activismo intelectual en la obra Soñé que la nieve ardía de Antonio Skármeta

Abstract

Soñé que la nieve ardía es una novela escrita en la época de la Unidad Popular del gobierno socialista de Salvador Allende, donde nos cuenta hechos históricos llenos de pasión, humor y angustia. Para llevar a cabo la presente tesis doctoral, nos hemos basado en un método descriptivo que implica la observación y la descripción de una sociedad en dificultad, con el fin de evaluar algunas características de una población. Nuestro principal objetivo en la realización de este trabajo se define en investigar sobre el estudio de la situación socio-política de Chile y la transformación vivida por el pueblo en aquella época, además de mostrar las diferentes actividades y realizaciones hechas para sobre pasar los diferentes obstáculos que impidieron el avance social, tras el golpe militar engendrado por el General Augusto Pinochet. Después de examinar el cambio socio-político y la situación en que vivía el pueblo en aquella época, se ve el sufrimiento de toda una sociedad situada entre sueños y fuego. La novela de Antonio Skarmeta nos ofrece un campo de investigación inagotable con varias lecturas de estudio y crítica sobre la tipología del discurso y la estructura narrativa. Por eso esta investigación deja abiertas las puertas a la comparación de los resultados obtenidos con aquellos que resultaran del análisis del discurso y de la narrativa.I dreamed that snow burned, is a novel written at the time of the Popular Unity of the socialist government of Salvador Allende, where he tells us historical facts full of passion, humor and anguish. To carry out this doctoral thesis, we have based ourselves on a descriptive method that involves the observation and description of a society in difficulty, in order to evaluate some characteristics of a population. Our main objective in the realization of this work is defined in research on the study of the socio-political situation of Chile and the transformation witnessed by the people at that time, in addition to showing the different activities and achievements made to overcome the different obstacles that impeded social progress, after the military coup engendered by General Augusto Pinochet. After examining the socio-political change and the situation in which the people lived at that time, we see the suffering of an entire society situated between dreams and fire. Antonio Skarmeta’s novel offers us an inexhaustible field of research with several study and critical readings on the typology of discourse and narrative structure. That is why this research leaves open the doors to the comparison of the results obtained with those resulting from the analysis of discourse and narrative
