The purpose of this study as well is to test team coordinations as a possible mediator in the relationship between the hierarchy of authority and teams performance. This study was a descriptive survey of 187 employees of the Algerian Foundries Company, the collection of data was with the help of structured scales, through face to face interaction with respondents. We collected data through the help of Hage and Aiken, (1967) scale, organizational socialization of teams questionnaire, and team performance questionnaire, which showed the reliability value of (0.90; 0.77; 0.95) respectively by the use of the alpha stratified coefficient, and the Khandwala, (1977) scale which showed a reliability value of (0.93). Data were analyzed by the use of the descriptive statistics SPSS V. 25, multiple regression analysis in the first hypothesis test, and path analysis for the study model test. The results showed that: 1. Organizational structure has a significant impact on the performance of teams. 2. A series of regression equations revealed that Job Specialty, team coordination, training and the number of participations in training courses could be seen as contributing factors in predicting the performance of work teams. 3. Path analysis revealed that coordination among team members partially mediated the relationship between authority hierarchy, and performance of work teams. Key
