La sémiotique de l’espace et la poétique de la Relation dans Le roman La Lézarde d’Edouard Glissant

Abstract

Le roman d Edouard Glissant « la lézarde » abrite un espace démesuré dans lequel l‟action tourne autour d‟un acte politique qui oeuvre à l‟apprentissage de la démocratie. Dans cet univers romanesque, se dessine une quête identitaire qui se répand sur des espaces multiples et échoue dans des lieux divers. Le roman déroule un paysage vociférant qui convoque la mémoire et réhabilite des figures tutélaires pour une reconstruction identitaire. En effet, l‟appel de la terre et les récits lointains semblent s‟agripper à l‟estuaire de la rivière la lézarde. L‟analyse sémiotique à laquelle nous nous sommes livrés, a multiplié les passerelles de lectures, L‟oeuvre est polycentrée grâce à une complexité de réseaux de sens qui interfèrent pour aboutir à une représentation significative .le roman est un questionnement sur le rapport de l‟être et le monde. Edouard Glissant arbore une nouvelle conception du monde à partir de l‟univers de la trace : la Relation. Baptisée par l‟auteur lui même comme pensée du Monde, la Relation est le tournant d‟une poétique qui s‟inscrit dans le sillon de la philosophie présocratique. Elle relie et relate les imaginaires des peuples dans une totalité non totalitaire. Notre travail de recherche consiste à interroger l‟espace pour cerner ce retour à la trace et son „articulation dans le processus de la Relation. Edouard Glissant‟s novel “The lézarde” swells as huge space in which action revolves around a political act that works for the learning of democracy. In this romantic universe, a quest of identity takes shape which crosses multiple spaces and fails in various places .The novel unfolds a vociferating landscape which summons memories and rehabilitates tutelary figures for an identity reconstruction. Indeed the call of the land and distant stories seem to grip the estuary of the “Lézarde river”. The semiotic analysis which we have engaged has multiplied the gateways of reading. The novel is polycentric thanks to the complexity of the links of meaning that interfere to lead to significant representation. The novel is a questioning on the relationship between human and the world. Edouard Glissant sports a new conception of the world from the universe of trace: the Relationship .The concept is regarded as a thought of the world. It is the turning point of poetic that finds itself at the hinge pre-Socratic philosophy. It relays, links and relates the imagination of people in a non totalitarian totality.
