Résumé: The purposes of this study are to investigate business , skills needed by business professionals working in Al Wataniya Telecom Nedjma (henceforth WTN) and to determine what business English communication skills should be given priority over others. In addition, the present study was conducted to investigate the needs of economist workers in using English for Specific Purposes in WTN. This work is divided into four chapters, as follows: Chapter One deals with the origins of the ESP approach. It discusses the theoretical background of Needs Analysis as the framework of the ESP approach, its relation to the concept of Communicative Competence and its impact on linguistic theory. Chapter Two deals with business communication and it gives an idea about effective communication which occurs when speakers and listeners or writers and readers agree on the content of the message. Chapter Three presents the data obtained from the questionnaire. First, background information on the respondents and their workplace WTN is given. Chapter Four, deals with the English language training WTN and the Scholarship Program. In this chapter, the respondents are asked in the questionnaire whether they are offered English language training at WTN.
