Abstract : In response to rapid social, economic, and technological changes, Algeria adopted the LMD system (Bachelor-Master-PhD) in 2004 to modernize its higher education. Initially based on the French classical model, the Algerian system showed limitations amid globalization and the mass expansion of education. The LMD reform aims to improve quality, employability, and international compatibility. However, challenges remain: regional disparities, lack of resources, and limited stakeholder engagement. This research investigates whether the reform has met its goals, through a case study at Oran 2 University, using a mixed-methods approach and hypotheses focused on education quality, actor perceptions, and job market alignment.
