Abstract

Individual differences are the focus and subject of study in the field of differential psychology, or what is known as the psychology of differences. This field does not study differences merely for the sake of knowledge, discovery, or even simply to understand human beings, but because contemporary society has reached a high degree of complexity, with diverse specializations and roles. This has given rise to the challenge of identifying individuals who are suited to the various roles and needs demanded by society, thereby achieving societal efficiency and individual harmony
