Abstract: The foundations for applying the mathematical method to physics emerged with Greek thought in the form of natural philosophy, then appeared with Islamic philosophy in the model of Ibn al-Haytham. The idea then gained prominence in modern philosophy with Galileo and Newton, and finally materialized experimentally with Max Planck in his theory of the quantum of energy. In this theory, the applications of the mathematical method to numerous concepts such as tension, frequency, energy, radiation, light, and the constant—the fundamental concept in his theory—were clearly demonstrated with precision through mathematical means. Key words: Methodology – Mathematical Methodology – Quantum Mechanism – Energy – Constant – Physics.
